General InformationFacilityOn December 22, 1999, KITTCOM moved from its old 700 square foot space in the Ellensburg Public Safety Building to a new 4,500 square foot facility near Bowers Field. TrainingBased on APCO Communications Training Officer (CTO) program guidelines, generally 6-10 months of self-study and OJT. Minimum training for a non-lateral entry is 480 hours with a maximum of 600 hours. The center uses the Medical Priority Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) program. Agencies ServedKittitas County Sheriff's Office, Central Washington University Police, Ellensburg Police, Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue, Kittitas County Hospital District 2, Cle Elum Police and Fire, Kittitas Police and Fire, Roslyn Fire, South Cle Elum Fire and Fire Districts 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8.
