Facility

On December 22, 1999, KITTCOM moved from its old 700 square foot space in the Ellensburg Public Safety Building to a new 4,500 square foot facility near Bowers Field.

	Radio System - As of early 2007, five simulcast radio sites are in operation; two in the upper county, one in Ellensburg, one that covers the Vantage and Columbia River area and one that covers I-82 and the SR821 canyon corridor.

Training

Based on APCO Communications Training Officer (CTO) program guidelines, generally 6-10 months of self-study and OJT. Minimum training for a non-lateral entry is 480 hours with a maximum of 600 hours. The center uses the Medical Priority Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) program.
